Princess Threads - PDO Anchor threads are threads with a double-sided anchor structure placed in high density (6 two-way anchors per 1 cm of thread). After insertion with a convenient cannula, the hooks engage, lifting the tissues, providing a lifting effect. The unusual shape enables two-way stabilization and increases the pulling force, and the use of a comfortable cannula facilitates the insertion and placement of the thread. The Anchor model is used for: lifting the chin, eyebrows, changing the contour of the cheeks and jaw line. How do PDO threads work? Polydioxanone (PDO) is a synthetic fiber that dissolves completely in the tissue over time. It has been used in the production of skin and subcutaneous sutures, which is why it has been used in medicine for many years. The idea to use PDO threads in aesthetic treatments was born in Korea, and thanks to its spectacular effects, it quickly gained popularity around the world.
The treatment involves inserting PDO threads under the skin (in selected areas) using a very thin needle. After insertion, the needle is removed and a dressing is applied to the skin. The applied treatment creates a specific scaffold around which the body begins the process of neocollagenesis (production of new collagen fibres), stimulation of fibroblasts for increased elastin synthesis and the synthesis of endogenous hyaluronic acid. The skin after the treatment becomes more elastic, tense and elastic.
